Speech Title:Cloud Storage: An Ecosystem of Opportunity
Over the next several years, the fabric of the cloud, mobility and the Internet will undergo significant challenges as tens of billions of connected devices begin sharing, streaming and moving data. Our concepts of compute, storage and locality will be challenged as connected devices expand from the familiar to new classes of devices, driving the annual global IP traffic to nearly a zetabyte (a million petabytes). This significant growth is changing the storage landscape, driven by new applications, new use models and more types of data. During this presentation, HGST will be sharing best practices for efficiently managing the ever-growing content resulting from cloud, mobile, Big Data and social computing. Learn how cloud and hyperscale IT datacenter managers have differentiated and optimized their infrastructures for the lowest total cost of ownership by designing and leveraging new platforms, features and products customized for specific applications and workloads.
